Nail Fungus

When fungus infects either one or more nails it will result in an infection that is called nail fungus. In the beginning of a nail fungus infection you will notice that there are white or yellow spots that begin to grow under the ends of either your toenails or your fingernails. The nails will then begin to become even more discolored. They may also become thick and the edges will start to crumble. This is not only an unsightly issue but can also be very painful.
Nails that are exposed to environments that are moist and warm are more at risk of developing a nail fungus. One thing you should know is that while nail fungus and athletes foot can be affecting the feet at the same time and also usually caused by the same or similar fungus, they are two different issues.
While a nail fungus infection is quite difficult to treat and cure, many times with reoccurrences that happen often medication is available that will help cure your nail fungus.
